Update | Phillips recovering from surgery

A spokesperson for the Leader of the Opposition Dr Peter Phillips is reporting that his surgery was successful and that he is in good spirits.

The spokesperson said Phillips won’t be able to take any visitors at this time.

He is appreciative of the good wishes which have been expressed by many.

Phillips expresses his commitment to keep the nation updated on his progress.
