The National Water Commission is reporting that the Mona Treatment Plant in St Andrew is experiencing reduced production levels as a result of declining inflows to the facility due to the direct impact of the ongoing dry spell.

Based on the decline, communities that are supplied on a regulated basis are likely to experience low pressures or no water  for the next three to five days, as the commission conducts further assessment.

The agency also says that if after its assessment and no significant improvement in inflows, further regulation measures will have to be implemented.

The commission says its team is continuing to monitor the raw water sources in a bid to restoring supply levels as per the existing schedule.

In the interim, the trucking of water will be undertaken in the affected areas.

Customers may also submit requests for trucked water to the NWC via 888-225-5692 or email at customer.care@nwc.com.jm.
