The Ministry of Finance and the Public Service is warning the public about another fake COVID-19 assistance programme.

This time unscrupulous persons are claiming that the government will be providing $200,000 to Jamaicans.

The Ministry says this is not true.

Previous, false information was being circulated on social media platforms that the government will be providing $1,500 to citizens.

The public is being implored to avoid sharing the fake information.
