Rocky Point ill-fated plane was not destined for Ja – Anderson

Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson says the plane that crash-landed in Rocky Point, Clarendon was not destined for Jamaica.

Anderson made the disclosure while addressing a virtual press conference this afternoon.

The 12-seater plane crash-landed on the White Sand Beach on the evening of January 23.

The twin-engine aircraft is de-registered and its ownership is domiciled in Mexico.  

Anderson indicated that the incident is now the subject of a transnational investigation.

Further, the police commissioner said that the police now know who were flying the plane.

He stated that there was no cargo on board.
