Headless remains found in Rio Cobre

The St Catherine North police have yet to identify a man whose torso was recovered from the Rio Cobre on Monday.

The body, which was clad in underpants, was found floating in a section of the river near Ackee Walk in Dam Head.

"The body has what appears to be stab wounds to the upper left torso," Deputy Superintendent of Police Linroy Edwards said.

Edwards said the police were alerted by passers-by that the body was seen floating in the river.

It was removed about 11:30 a.m. 

Meanwhile, the police are asking anyone aware of missing males to contact the Spanish Town station at 876-9842035 or 119.
