Three gunmen arrested in car park at Petrojam

Three men armed with guns were this morning arrested on the compound of the state-owned oil refinery Petrojam.

In a statement this afternoon, Petrojam said the gunmen were apprehended by the police in the car park designated for contractors, which is located outside the security checkpoint. 

Firearms were also recovered.

Petrojam says the men are not employees or contractors of the agency.

The police are investigating the matter.

Petrojam says it remains committed to the safety and security of its employees and property and will continue to monitor the situation.
