Woman shot and killed, man injured in Whitfield Town

Men travelling in a motor car shot and killed a woman along Ashley Road in Whitfield Town, Kingston 13, on Wednesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Latiesha Vassell, also called 'Munchie'.
A man who was also shot during the incident is being treated at hospital.
The incident occurred about 7:30 p.m. close to a security checkpoint in the community.
Residents reportedly heard loud explosions and had to take cover.
The St Andrew South police are probing.
