The agency says it is closely monitoring the air quality situation.

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) says investigations remain ongoing to identify the source of noxious fumes that have forced the closure of the Black River Tax Office in St Elizabeth.

Operations at the tax office ended early yesterday due to air quality.

In a media release today, TAJ says testing is being undertaken.

The agency says it is closely monitoring the air quality situation and will assess the reopening of the office as soon as conditions permit.

It says it is committed to the health and well-being of employees, clients and stakeholders.
