Vendor killed, seven injured in Westmoreland market truck crash
A male vendor was killed and seven others injured, including a child, in a market truck crash in Holly Hill, Darliston, Westmoreland this morning.
Councillor for the Darliston Division, Jerome Bacchas, told The Gleaner that the injured persons are being treated at the Savanna-la-Mar Hospital in the parish.
It is reported that they were travelling in an Isuzu truck destined for the Savanna-La-Mar Market when about 5:30 the vehicle reportedly careened off the road and crashed.
The driver reportedly lost control while manoeuvring a steep incline.
