Two injured in crash involving JLP motorcade
A woman was seriously injured after a truck transporting Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) supporters was involved in a crash in Roach Gully in the parish on Thursday afternoon.
Member of Parliament for St Thomas Western, James Robertson, told Radio Jamaica's discussion programme Beyond the Headlines that a man was also injured in the incident.
They were both rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital where the woman is undergoing surgery.
It's understood that one of her legs was severed during the crash.
It is reported that a motorcade was heading towards Morant Bay about 4 p.m. following nomination day activities when the truck collided with another vehicle while negotiating a corner.
