Westmoreland bike taxi operator charged for alleged rape of teen pillion
A Grange Hill, Westmoreland bike taxi operator has with charged for the alleged rape of a 15-year-old pillion passenger.
He is 26-year-old Omar Myrie who was charged on Wednesday with rape and forcible abduction.
His court date is being finalised.
The alleged incident in Race Course district on Saturday, January 20.
The police report that about 3:30 p.m., the teen took Myrie's bike taxi and while transporting her to her destination he allegedly took her to his home, where she was assaulted.
The incident was reported to the police.
An investigation led to Myrie being arrested and charged on Wednesday, February 7.
