Over US$33,000 seized in Franklyn Town, six arrested
The police on Sunday seized US$33,400 in an operation in Franklyn Town in Kingston.
Six persons were arrested in relation to the seizure.
Their identities are being withheld pending further investigation.
The seizure was made during an operation at a premises on Lacy Road.
The police report that about 5:20 a.m., a team conducting a targeted raid and searched a premises on Fernandez Avenue and found a Glock 19 nine millimetre pistol with a magazine containing eleven 9mm cartridges in a bathroom.
Another premises on Lacy Road was also searched and the US currency were found.
Six persons were taken into custody.
