21-year-old Kingston man charged with murder
Twenty-one-year-old Trevon Lambert, otherwise called 'Cabi', of Upper Second Street, Kingston 12, has been charged with the murder of 24-year-old Mark Ffrench on January 31.
In addition, Lambert was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and making use of a firearm to commit a felony.
The police say about 10:45 p.m., Ffrench was in the East Road area of Kingston when he was approached by Lambert and other men, who all had firearms.
The gunmen allegedly opened fire at Ffrench, hitting him several times.
The police were alerted and, on their arrival, Ffrench was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation was launched and Lambert was apprehended on Monday and was subsequently charged.
His court date is being finalised while his accomplices are currently being sought by the police.
