St Andrew man arrested and charged after allegedly fleeing accident scene

The police have arrested and charged a St Andrew man who allegedly fled the scene of an accident that occurred on Trafalgar Road, St Andrew, on February 22.
Andrew Abrahams of Guava Ridge, Mavis Bank, St Andrew was arrested today.
The police say a warrant was subsequently executed on him for using an electronic communication device while driving or operating a vehicle, following a previous traffic breach.
He was taken before the court today where he was fined $20,000 for the offence.
He is scheduled to reappear before the Traffic Court on April 8 to answer to the charge of careless driving.
