Dancehall artiste Chi Ching Ching charged for alleged firearm breach

Dancehall artiste Chi Ching Ching is awaiting a court date after he was arrested and charged for breaches of the terms and conditions of a firearm licence following an incident in Portland on March 6.
The 41-year-old's given name is Radion Beckford.
The police say Beckford was driving a black Toyota Vanguard Rav4 along the San San main road in Portland when he was signalled to stop by a team conducting vehicular checks for illegal weapons and drugs.
Beckford reportedly stopped, but during an interview it was discovered that he was the holder of a Glock pistol with 50 rounds of ammunition.
The licence for the firearm was reportedly issued on February 13, 2023 by the Firearms Licensing Authority, but had expired and was not renewed.
The firearm was seized and Beckford was charged.
