The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising the public that the roadway from Papine to Bull Bay, will be closed this Sunday, between the communities of Halls Delight and Lindos Gap.

The NWA says the closure, which will be in effect between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., is to facilitate the replacement of a pipe culvert.

It says there is no known alternative as the section of road leading to Bull Bay has been closed for some time due to a breakaway.

The NWA is advising motorists to exercise caution, if they have to use that area during the period of the works, and to obey the instructions of posted warning signs.

It explains that the culvert replacement is being done as part of a retaining wall construction project aimed at stabilising that section of the roadway.

The project is valued at $14.6 million.
