The case has been set for mention on April 11.

A former supervisor at a gas station in Portmore, St Catherine accused of stealing $1.4 million was today further remanded in the parish court.

Cheveroll Osbourne, otherwise called 'TJ' and 'Cosmo', is charged with larceny as a servant and access to computer with intent to facilitate the commission of an offence.

Today, the Clerk of Courts indicated that Osbourne gave the police a caution statement admitting to the theft.

Osbourne is jointly charged with Morris Murrant, a former cashier at the gas station.

Murrant is also charged with larceny as a servant and access to computer with intent to facilitate the commission of an offence.

His bail was further extended by Senior Parish Court judge Desiree Alleyne, who set the case for mention on April 18.

Allegations are that the accused were charged after the complainant made checks and found that $1.4 million was unaccounted for in relation to Osbourne and another $884,214.12 in relation to Murrant.

It was revealed that the accused used fictitious codes to access a computer and encashed phone cards and other items and failed to turned the monies over to the complainant.

The police were called in and following an investigation, both men were arrested and charged.
