Trelawny Municipal Corporation to embark on revenue collection drive
The Trelawny Municipal Corporation is to embark on a robust revenue collection drive.
Mayor of Falmouth Collen Gager told The Gleaner that, among other things, the corporation will be looking at advertising, parking, trade licences, building fees and property taxes.
Gager said the funds are needed for the betterment of the parish.
He highlighted the development of the main transport centre in Falmouth.
"The transport centre on Tharpe Street is in need of shelter construction. The area adjoining the centre needs to be prepared so that businesses can be established. It is a wonderful area for vending," said the mayor.
