Duhaney Park, St Andrew man charged over missing rental vehicle

A 25-year-old Duhaney Park, St Andrew man has been charged for failing to return a rental vehicle.

Twenty-five-year-old Rodrick Dacres, also known as 'Dre' or 'Rojae', is to go to court to answer a charge of larceny of a motor vehicle.

The police report that Dacres rented a White 2010 Toyota Voxy motor vehicle from a woman for three days.

However, when the vehicle was due to be returned on Thursday, March 14, neither Dacres nor the vehicle could be located.

All attempts to contact Dacres proved futile.

On Wednesday, March 20, Dacres was apprehended by the police.

When questioned about the whereabouts of the vehicle, he failed to provide an explanation, according to the police.

Lawmen are still in search of the motor vehicle.

Dacres was formally charged during an interview session in the presence of his lawyer.
