No serious injuries from bus crash on Portmore toll road
The police say the injuries sustained by passengers on a Toyota Coaster bus which crashed along the Portmore leg of Highway 2000 on Thursday morning are not considered life threatening.
At the same time, they are urging the passengers to collect personal belongings that were left at the accident scene.
The police say the items, including school bags, have been secured and can be retrieved at the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch.
The police say about 7 a.m., the bus was travelling along the roadway from Portmore to Kingston.
Upon reaching the vicinity of the wharf, the vehicle veered to the left and crashed.
Over 30 people, including several students, who were passengers, received injuries and were taken to hospital.
