Jamaica’s very first Artisan Village was opened in Falmouth on April 19, as a means of boosting and diversifying the tourism product in Trelawny. The village, which is the first of five to be funded by the Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) across Jamaica’s main resort towns, will have a total of 48 shops selling various art and craft and local food items. JN Bank has partnered with TEF to offer financial training and services to include POS machines to the artisans and has installed an Automated Teller Machine at the Village.
