NWA urges caution along Elegant Corridor as traffic signals out of service
The National Works Agency (NWA) is urging road users traversing the Elegant Corridor in St James to exercise extreme caution, especially as they navigate the intersection in the vicinity of the Half Moon resort, as traffic signals are out of commission.
Community relations officer for the NWA's Western Region, Janel Ricketts, says that there was significant damage to the hardware of the traffic signals rendering the system inoperable.
The agency says its team is working to have the issue resolved in the shortest possible time.
In the interim, road users are being reminded that when the traffic signals are out of service, no one has the right of way.
Motorists should therefore exercise caution in navigating the intersection, as well as other intersections where traffic signals are out of service.
