Communications and entertainment company Flow Jamaica, in association with parent company, Liberty Latin America (LLA), is nurturing the next generation of leaders, innovators and change-makers through its graduate programme.

A release from the company notes that the programme, now in its third year, “offers unparalleled opportunities for recent university graduates to embark on a two-year journey of professional growth and personal development”.

Through a structured and immersive curriculum, participants gain invaluable hands-on experience, mentorship from industry experts, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies and business practices across LLA’s Latin American and Caribbean markets.

“The graduate programme is a testament to our commitment to fostering talent and driving innovation in the telecommunications industry,” said Jacqueline Floro-Forde, senior director, People at Flow. “We believe in the power of fresh perspectives and diverse ideas to fuel our continued success, and we are eager to welcome some of the brightest minds to join us in shaping the future of connectivity across our markets.”

The programme offers graduates the opportunity to rotate through various departments within the organisation, including, but not limited to finance, commercial, technology, and customer experience. Participants work on real-world projects, tackle complex challenges, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of the company’s operations and the telecommunications landscape.

HONE VALUABLE SKILLS

In addition to gaining invaluable professional experience, the participants benefit from personalised mentoring, professional development workshops, networking opportunities, and exposure to senior leadership.

“Flow Jamaica and LLA are committed to investing in the growth and development of talent, providing the necessary support and resources for participants to thrive and reach their full potential,” Floro-Forde added.

Aleia James was among the first cohort of graduates in the programme in 2022. She completes her two-year period of rotation with the finance team on August 1, and said her experience has exceeded her expectations.

“I benefitted from a diverse and welcoming culture, as well as a comprehensive view of the company as I rotated through multiple areas within the finance portfolio. The Flow Graduate Programme allowed me an amazing opportunity to hone valuable skills through a holistic approach to imparting key industry knowledge, impactful projects and opportunities to travel,” James shared as she looked forward to the next phase of her journey at Flow.

Three graduates of the 2023 cohort are currently engaged in the commercial and finance departments at Flow. They are Odane Blidgen (commercial), Chelsey Cunningham (commercial), and Sherice Preddie (finance).

Applications for the Flow Graduate Programme are now open to university graduates. Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications by May 30.
