St Catherine mechanic charged with sexual assault of 14-y-o girl
Brandon Brissett, a 28-year-old auto mechanic of Phoenix Park Village, Portmore, St Catherine, has been hit with several charges following allegations that he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl.
Brissett has been charged with sexual intercourse with a person under 16 years old, forcible abduction, grievous sexual assault, sexual grooming of a child, assault at common law, using a firearm to commit an offence and unlawful detention with intent to commit grievous sexual assault.
He is scheduled to face the court of Friday, May 10.
He is also scheduled for further interviews after lead sheets were allegedly found in his possession and following the reported recovery of a prohibited weapon and ammunition from his vehicle.
It is alleged that the complainant met Brissett sometime in May 2023 and later developed an intimate relationship with him, during which they had sexual intercourse at his house on several different occasions.
It is further reported that on April 27, 2024, about 3:30 p.m., the complainant was walking home from a shop when the accused saw her and offered her a ride.
While in his car, Brissett allegedly pointed a handgun at the complainant and instead of taking her home, took her to his house where he forced her to perform oral sex on him.
On Monday evening, the police arrested Brissett and seized his Toyota Mark X motor car.
