Man disarms gunman during attempted robbery along Spanish Town Road

The police are reporting that a man on Thursday night managed to disarm one of two gunmen who attempted to rob him along Spanish Town Road in Kingston.
The loaded firearm, a nine millimetre pistol with an attached magazine containing eight 9mm cartridges, was handed over to the police following the incident.
Reports from the Denham Town police are that about 9:05 p.m., two armed men held up and attempted to rob a man of his personal belongings.
The police say a tussle ensued between the man and one of the gunmen, during which he managed to disarm the gunman of the firearm before he escaped into the area.
A report was later made to the police, and the firearm and ammunition were turned over to them.
Investigations continue.
