Six St Elizabeth schoolboys charged over house break-in
Six St Elizabeth schoolboys have been arrested and charged in connection with a break-in at a house.
Head of the St Elizabeth Police Division Superintendent Coleridge Minto says the boys, who are between the ages of 13 and 16, were picked up on Thursday during a targeted raid at a premises in the Malvern area.
He revealed that eight televisions were recovered at the dwelling.
The teens were accosted and later charged.
“They were taken in due to an ongoing investigation for house break-in. We will continue the investigation and provide the necessary support to these youngsters,” said Minto.
Minto told The Gleaner that efforts are now under way to bring the matter before the court for a determination on bail.
