IT WAS three days of presentations, meetings, pitching, displays, buying and selling; and on the fourth day, Responsible Tourism Day, some media practitioners and staff of the Jamaica Tourist Board made the trip to Floyd’s Pelican Bar off the coast of St Elizabeth, but not before sprucing up the SOS Children’s Village at Barrett Town in St James, and cleaning up the beach at Old Hospital Beach Park in Montego Bay.

Two massive parties, one at Rose Hall Great House, anchored by Tessanne Chin, and the other, headlined by reggae great Maxi Priest, at Sandals’ flagship property in Montego Bay, were the icing on the multilayered cake that the 2024 Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Caribbean Travel Marketplace was.
