3-y-o boy killed, suspect in custody in St Mary

A three-year-old boy is dead while five others are nursing injuries at hospital, after a man believed to be of unsound mind chopped members of a family in St Mary on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Asha Campbell of Pagee Street in Port Maria in the parish.
A report from the Port Maria police suggests that about 4 p.m., Campbell was walking with family members along Pagee Street when he was attacked with an iron pipe and a knife by a man of unsound mind.
During the vicious attack, the boy's mother and four others were injured.
The police were called and the injured persons were rushed to hospital, however, the boy was pronounced dead on arrival.
The police say they have since apprehended the suspect.
