A 39-year-old farmer accused of the fatal stabbing of a man during a fight is to return to court on June 19 following postponement of his case in the St Catherine Parish Court on Thursday.

He is Gregory Allen of Golden River district, Above Rocks, St Catherine. His bail has been extended to June 19.

Allen is charged with the death of Tajay Anderson, otherwise called 'Devil', a 20-year-old labourer of Above Rocks.

It is alleged that about 3:30 a.m., on May 21, 2022, there was a dispute between Allen and Anderson during which Allen was chopped repeatedly by Anderson.

Allen also allegedly used a knife to inflict a wound to Anderson.

Both men were taken for treatment at hospital where Anderson died.

Allen, who was hospitalised, was subsequently arrested and charged with murder.
