27-y-o charged with murdering Kingston man in 2022

The police have charged 27-year-old Tahij Dias with the murder of a man from Spanish Town Road in Kingston almost two years ago.
The deceased is Junior Barrett, 28. He was shot dead on June 16, 2022.
The Hunts Bay police in St Andrew have also charged Dias with illegal possession of firearm, illegal possession of ammunition and using a firearm to commit a felony.
The police report that at about 9:15 p.m., on the day in question, Barrett was standing at his gate when explosions were heard.
The police were alerted and shortly after found Barrett with gunshot wounds.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Dias charged on Friday.
