Sections of Lucea and Green Island, Hanover under curfew
Separate 48-hour curfews have been imposed in sections of Lucea and Green Island, Hanover.
The security measure took effect at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, June 26 and will remain in place until 6 p.m., Friday, June 28.
The boundaries of the curfew in Lucea are:
North: From the rear of the Johnson Town community to the seaside, running along the coastline parallel to the main road in an easterly direction to the Elgin Town Sports Complex.
East: From the Elgin Town Sports Complex, travelling in a southerly direction to a point at the rear of Kew district.
South: From the rear of Kew district, travelling in a westerly direction to the rear of the Brissett community.
West: From the rear of the Brissett community travelling in a northerly direction to the rear of the Johnson Town Community to the seaside location.
Over in Green Island, the boundaries are:
North: At Orange Bay Square along the highway to the small bridge beside Lobster Smoke House.
East: Along an imaginary line from the small bridge beside Lobster Smoke House to March Town Square.
South: From March Town Road along an imaginary line through Dam Road district to the entrance of Dam Road.
West: From the entrance to Dam Road district along the main road to Orange Bay Square.
During the curfew, all persons are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
