Schoolgirl among three killed in Trelawny highway crash
A 14-year-old student of Muschett High School was among three people who died today as a result of a crash along the North Coast Highway, in the vicinity of Greenside in Trelawny.
She is Tashanti Jones.
The other victims are 31-year-old carpenter Hoydene Flemming and 21-year-old Brandon Gordon.
All three are from Salt Marsh district in the parish.
The police report that about 10:30 a.m. Flemming was driving his Toyota Wish motor car heading in an easterly direction when it reportedly got out of control and slammed into a wall.
Flemming and Gordon died on the spot.
Jones was taken to the Falmouth Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Today's crash brings to 26 the number of fatal accidents in Trelawny since January.
