75-y-o Canadian allegedly held with cocaine in luggage at Kingston airport charged

A 75-year-old Canadian man has been charged by the police over the reported discovery of cocaine hidden in food packages in his suitcase at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.

Kenneth Daley, a pensioner, was charged on Wednesday with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, attempting to export cocaine, possession of criminal property, and conspiracy.

A date is to be set for him to appear in court.

The police report that Daley was attempting to board a flight to Canada when he was intercepted by cops and his luggage searched.

According to the police, the search revealed four kilogrammes of cocaine concealed in food packages marked "Festival Mix," "Mega Punch," and "Jablum Coffee".

He was arrested and brought into custody.

Daley was later charged.
