Policeman shot during robbery at wholesale in Manchester

A search is under way for gunmen who shot a policeman during a robbery at a wholesale in Manchester this afternoon.
According to police reports, the sergeant was at the business establishment in Spalding when he was pounced by gunmen during a robbery at the Dragon Home Wholesale and Supermarket.
The hoodlums fired shots hitting the policeman, who is attached to the Manchester Division.
The injured policeman was assisted to the Percy Junior Hospital where he is being treated for injuries to his shoulder.
Today's incident follows the fatal shooting of a policeman during a robbery at a gas station in St Andrew on Friday night.
