Policeman and inmate injured in Kingston Central lock-up disturbance

The Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau and the Independent Commission of Investigations have launched probes into the injury of a policeman and an inmate during a reported disturbance at the Kingston Central police lock-up on Tuesday.
It's reported that the incident occurred about 9:20 p.m., after the police confiscated several illegal items.
Police personnel attempted to control the situation during which a police constable was injured on his left ear.
One inmate suffered a head injury during the melee.
Both men were taken to hospital for medical attention.
