Woman fatally shot by policeman in MoBay

A woman was fatally shot by a policeman after she reportedly attacked him along Barnett Street in downtown Montego Bay, St James last night.

Her identity has not yet been confirmed.

It is reported that the woman, believed to be a sex worker, was involved in an altercation with a man when the cop intervened.

She allegedly became enraged and attacked the policeman, who then drew his service pistol and opened fire, hitting the woman in her upper body.

She reportedly died at the scene.

The unidentified woman is the fourth person to be killed by the police in St James in the past two days.

Yesterday, three men were killed by the St James police in an alleged shootout in Orange district.

A police source stated that one of the men was on the police's radar for the recent killing of TikToker Marvin '41 Buss Head' Samuels.

However, residents claim the men were killed in cold blood inside a house in the community.

Repeated attempts to obtain an official comment from the police regarding both incidents have been unsuccessful, as calls to the police commander went unanswered.
