St Ann farmer dies after tree reportedly falls on him

The St Ann police are investigating a case of death by misadventure after a tree reportedly fell on a resident of the parish on Wednesday. 

Dead is 45-year-old farmer, Richard Johnson, of Walkerswood district, St Ann.

Police reports state that, about 2:45 p.m., Johnson was cutting a tree in the Cottage neighbourhood in the parish when it fell on him, severely injuring him.

He was assisted to the St Ann's Bay Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Moneague police are investigating the matter.
