AR15 rifle found hidden beneath tree root in St James

The police in St James on Thursday seized a mini AR15 rifle with a magazine containing nineteen 5.56 cartridges at a premises on Ducketts Road in Cambridge.
Reports from the Cambridge police are that about 6:30 a.m., a team of lawmen were on operation in the area when the firearm and ammunition were seen in a shopping bag that was buried beneath the root of a tree.
No one was arrested in relation to the seizure.
Investigation continues.
