Updated | Man dies in fiery Kingston crash
A man was fatally shot while driving along McWhinney Street in Kingston on Saturday, causing his car to crash into a utility pole and catch fire.
The police say he was burnt beyond recognition.
It's reported that around 12:15 a.m. the man was driving a 2012 Toyota Premio motor car when he was attacked and shot.
He lost control of the vehicle, which crashed into a utility pole and burst into flames.
He was severely burnt in the fire.
The Elleston Road Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the incident.
The police had reported that the deceased was suspected to be Jerome King of St Elizabeth, seemingly the registered owner of the vehicle.
However, King has since come forward to indicate that he loaned his car to someone and that it was that person who was involved in the incident.
