St Mary police investigating house fire in Bogogee
The St Mary police and fire department are investigating a fire which gutted a house at Bogogee, Jacks River, in the parish on Tuesday.
Acting Superintendent of Police for the St Mary division, Anthony Wallace, says approximately 2:35 a.m. firefighters from the Port Maria Fire Station responded to a call about a fire at Bogogee in the parish.
"Firefighters responded and carried out cooling-down operations," said Wallace.
"The fire, which is of unknown origin, completely destroyed the four-apartment house comprising two bedrooms, kitchen and a patio. One occupant sustained minor burn injuries to the feet," he added.
It is understood that another occupant of the house also sustained burns to the body. The injured persons are being treated at hospital.
