56 assorted rounds of ammunition, M16 rifle seized in abandoned building in Central Village

The police in St Catherine today seized 56 assorted rounds of ammunition and an M16 rifle in an abandoned building during an operation in McBride Hill, Central Village.
Reports from the Central Village police are that about 3:00 p.m., lawmen were in the area when they searched the abandoned building.
During the search, the M16 rifle, thirteen 9mm rounds, and forty-three 5.56 rounds of ammunition were found inside the building.
No one was taken into custody in relation to the seizure.
The investigation is ongoing.
