Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen to resume duties on Monday
Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen is to resume his official duties on Monday, King's House has advised.
Sir Patrick has been on a leave of absence since December 16 while recovering from spinal surgery.
Custos Rotulorum of Kingston, Steadman Fuller, has been deputising for him, including delivering the Throne Speech at the ceremonial opening of Parliament on Thursday.
"Custos Fuller's period of service in this capacity concludes on Friday, February 14, 2025, and the Governor-General expresses sincere appreciation for his dedication and service to the nation during this time," King's House said.
It said Sir Patrick will be in office on Monday as he resumes the full execution of his duties.
