Taxi operator charged with having sex with schoolgirl

A 29-year-old taxi operator who is accused of having sex with a child he picked up from a high school in St Catherine on Wednesday, has been charged.
The accused was charged with having sex with a person under the age of 16 years on Friday, an offence under the Sexual Offences Act.
It's alleged that the man picked up the 15-year-old girl and took her to a premises in the Green Acres area of Spanish Town in the parish.
The police were alerted and the accused was later found nude with the child, reports say.
The child has since been taken to a place of safety.
