Negril police launch hunt for taxi operator suspected in jerk vendor’s murder

The Negril police in Westmoreland are searching for a taxi operator suspected in the murder of 54-year-old jerk vendor Rodroy Powell, also known as 'Jerky,' from the parish.

The incident reportedly occurred around 3 p.m. on February 26.

The suspect allegedly chopped Powell at the Negril bus park.

Powell was from the community of Farm Pen, Llandilo.

The suspect, who hails from Grange Hill in Westmoreland, reportedly fled the scene and is now being sought by the police.
