Man dies at US Embassy after experiencing medical emergency

A Jamaican man this morning died at the US Embassy in St Andrew after experiencing a medical emergency.

A statement from the embassy indicated that at approximately 8:20 a.m., the man suffered a “medical episode” and despite immediate medical attention he tragically passed away.

The body was later removed by a funeral home in accordance with local laws and procedures, it said.

“Out of respect for the privacy of the deceased and the family, we are unable to provide further details.

“The US Embassy Kingston extends sincere condolences to the deceased’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
