PAC Kingston Airport Limited, the operator of Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, says flight operations are experiencing temporary delays arising from a fire this evening inside the Club Kingston area of the departure terminal.

Passengers are advised to contact their airlines for the most up-to-date information regarding their specific flights.

"British Airways flight BA 2263 from London Gatwick Airport, American Airlines flight AA 1082 from Miami International Airport, and Delta Airlines flight DL 1906 from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport have all landed and passengers are awaiting processing,” said the company in a statement Friday evening.

“We expect to resume operations soon.”

PAC stated that it has activated its Emergency Operations Center, noting that the terminal building was safely evacuated in accordance with its emergency protocols and that there are no reported injuries at this time.

Airport emergency response teams and local fire services are actively working to contain the situation, it added.
