Farmer killed in alleged confrontation with police in Manchester

A 27-year-old farmer was shot and killed in Manchester during an alleged confrontation with police early Tuesday morning.

He is Orlando Waite, otherwise called ‘Garth' and 'Bulbi’, of Lease Land, Kingsland district, Spur Tree in Manchester.

The incident occurred about 2: 33 a.m.

The police say a Smith and Wesson .38 revolver with a magazine containing two .38 cartridges was seized.

The incident was reported to the Inspectorate of Professional Standards and Oversight Bureau and the Independent Commission of Investigations.
