Wolmer’s Boys’ Gary Card kept his form as he powered home to take the Class One 100m title on Wednesday evening, despite the signs of discomfort on his face mid-way through the final at the 2025 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championships.

Card, who looked poised to register his first sub-10 second clocking, was fastest out of the blocks but seemed to suffer some discomfort just past the 50m mark.

He clocked 10.28 seconds.

That was enough, however, to hold off a fast-closing Tyreece Foreman of St George’s College, who finished second in 10.29.

Excelsior’s Malike Nugent ended third in 10.34.
