Police implement restrictions for Grand Slam Track at National Stadium
The police have announced restrictions for persons attending the Grand Slam Track meet at the National Stadium in St Andrew.
The meet starts today and ends on Sunday.
The police have advised that no firearms, explosives, knives, large igloos, glass bottles, large umbrellas scissors, or any other item that can be used to cause serious harm or injury will be allowed inside the venue.
Traffic changes have also been implemented.
No parking will be allowed at the National Stadium except for VIPs, staff, media,a and shuttles.
Shuttle parks have been established at Jamaica College and National Heroes Circle.
Motorists travelling along Mountain View Avenue and Arthur Wint Drive may experience disruptions in normal traffic flow before, during, and after the event.
Traffic personnel will be deployed along the roadways and members of the public are being advised to follow their instructions.
