Clarendon bus driver charged for alleged abduction, sexual assault of teen passenger

The police in Clarendon have arrested and charged a 56-year-old Longville Park bus driver for allegedly taking a teen girl who was a passenger against her will and sexually assaulting her inside his vehicle.
Leroy Powell, otherwise called ‘Jimmy’, was on Friday charged with abduction of a child under 16 and grievous sexual assault.
His court date is being finalised.
According to reports from the May Pen police, about 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 02, the teen entered a coaster bus that was operated by Powell.
Powell reportedly dropped off the other passengers and then allegedly assaulted the teen inside of the bus.
He then reportedly left the girl near her home.
The teenager informed a family member of the incident and a report was later made to the police.
On Friday, April 4, Powell was arrested.
He was questioned and subsequently charged.
